i figured someone here might have a suggestion for good white pressed powder like this:
www.manicpanic.biz/ct_PR186986750.htm
but at a better price? manic panic wants $15, and we need quite a few of them.
ps....if you live in the l.a. area, and can recommend actual locations to go and buy the stuff you are a god.

AND HOW!!
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 1:48 PMdude, lenora was SOOO helpful that it was way more help than an im conversation could withstand. so in the spirit of shaking not stirring business and pleasure, i suggested we have a coffee date (all three of us) when you're in town, and i'll try to osmose all her information on how to manage monkeys. -

Re: makeup help: white pressed powder
Wed, June 8, 2005 - 5:10 AM$15 is a little expensive, but not a really incredible price. If you want professional quality theatrical face powder, expect to be spending at least $12. Consider your performance style: Mine is very physical, so I need professional quality make up: face powder mixed with grease paint; anything less would melt right off my face while I am performing.

Re: makeup help: white pressed powder
Mon, June 13, 2005 - 7:25 AMpersonally, we used professional clown makeup in Phoenix and it worked like a dream, zero itching, and stayed on all night, no touch up;, but I really don't know how much the person paid for it. -

Re: makeup help: white pressed powder
Mon, June 13, 2005 - 8:42 AMThe one trick is that you have to be at a reasonably comfortable temperature when you put on the powder/greasepaint combination. After years of doing this stuff, I discovered that it will not stay on very well if you are already sweating when you start applying it to your face-- if you start off at room temperature when you apply the makeup, you can sweat and it will stay on. You might be fine so long as you're not encountering audiences up close though.
