Hi hi, dear beautiful people,

Casey here, your trusty Brigade Ringmaster.
Though you may not hear from me on the public boards often, rest assured that I’ve been chugging like a circus train behind the scenes, helping to orchestrate so much beauty for the upcoming tour it will make your eyes bulge out of your head and leave you speechless with a bit of drool dripping down from the corner of your mouth after you experience the final encore from Amanda & Brian and exit the doors of the venue you have chosen to see the show in.

As the Dresden Dolls grow, so does the caliber of the Brigade, and I thank you all for stepping up to the plate and growing with us. THAT is what we adore, and love to promote – not just for our shows, but hoping that the beautiful people who were inspired by the outlet we create (hopefully I’m not sounding too pretentious there) stretch their imagination realize that there is an entire world out there simply begging for their beauty – thirsting for it, needing it to infuse color and love into their grey lives. I have had the honor of receiving a number of emails from you, many of you who have performed for the first time, telling me how beautiful and life changing the experience was. Run with it. Nurture it. Make it grow inside.

Don’t stop.

Okay, having said that, it’s time to get off of my soapbox.

While most of the shows are looking absolutely beautiful, I will take this moment to announce that we can still use some extraordinary people to be members of the brigade in other shows. From first timers who have recently discovered The Dresden Dolls and want to bring their own beauty to our shows, to the seasoned performers and familiar faces we also love seeing.

Once again, I’ll interject my own personal desires - I want you to GROW! I’ve had the opportunity to see what a small number of you can find inside of yourselves when you search for it, and have had some lovely emails from others excitedly describing the same. I am so in love with watching this happen, and being even a small part of it.
